LETTER TO PARENTS
Dear Parents,
How does it feel to have a Jr. High student?
No doubt that your student is at one of the most awkward ages of his or her life. You and your child will be experiencing all kind of changes during this season of life. Emotional, physical, and spiritual transformation are some of the things you get to look forward to. As you go on this adventure with your Jr. Higher, my goal is to equip both of you with the tools you need to stay on the path that God desires for your family. I do not want to teach your child everything he or she needs to know spiritually; that’s your job as a parent. Instead, I want to come alongside you and supplement what you are teaching your child at home.
With that said, I need your help. I want to be an encouragement to you just as much as I want to be an encouragement to your child. To do this, I need to communicate with you. Each week, I will email you a copy of what was taught the previous Sunday, as well as any announcements and events that are coming up. In addition, you will find a parent newsletter posted on this page each month. This newsletter is a tool you can use to engage in a spiritual conversation with your child. It will also give you a snapshot of today’s youth culture.
You are always welcome to call me or meet with me anytime. I want to know how you are doing and to encourage you as a parent. This can be a tumultuous and stressful time for your family and my goal is to not let you go through it alone. Let me know how I can serve you.
On a personal note, I ask that you be in prayer for me and my family. God has entrusted my family to and has asked me to be a shepherd to them.
